LP-A student goes extra 'MILE'
Chloe Hanson, a local sophomore at Lake-Park-Audubon Schools, has been selected to attend the Minnesota Motivating and Inspiring Leadership and Excellence (MILE) Seminar -- joining more than 100 young leaders representing as many high schools from across the state of Minnesota.
The seminar will be held, June 25-27 at St. John's University in Collegeville.
Students are chosen based on demonstrated leadership potential for continued leadership growth.
The Minnesota Mile leadership seminar brings a select group of high school sophomores together to provide the participants with a stimulating forum for learning to broaden their understanding of their leadership potential and quest for self-development.
Minnesota MILE's mission is to identify and develop youth leadership in Minnesota through the promotion of personal responsibility, volunteerism, and social awareness. Sophomore students are chosen because of the pivotal point they are in their lives between their sophomore and junior year.
