LP-A students Jump Rope for Heart

The Lake Park-Audubon students held their Jump Rope for Heart March 1st, as they raised $1,400 for the American Heart Association, which funds research, programs and education to fight heart disease and stroke, our nation’s No. 1 and No. 4 killers.

Jump Rope for Heart is a program that promotes physical activity and heart health through jumping rope.

It is co-sponsored by the American Heart Association and the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

“I’m so pleased with the success of this year’s event,” said Lori Wixo, Jump Rope for Heart coordinator. “We all had a lot of fun, and the kids enjoyed learning about the importance of physical activity and how they can play a role in saving lives.”

LP-A had 36 students, 3rd through 6th grade; raise $1,400 in donations for the AHA. The top fundraiser was 6th grader Ashley Standberg who raised $125.

Other students that raised donations were: Elise Grabinger, Kailee Lefebvre, Isabella Willette, Henry Jaster, Alexis Pearson, Hailey Frohman, Morgan Kruger, Alexis Leininger, Sydney Porter, Taylor Tiffany, Riley Carlson, Zeb Lewis Gavin Morawitz, Deven Rick, Brenda Bailey, Mayson Gillespie, Caroline Grande, Rebecca Melby, Abigail Lindquist, Liam O’Connell, Jonathan Willette, Kiara Gullard, Carson Hamre, Trevor Levin, Cheyenne Orth, Saige Anderson, Kobey Block, Dalton Dornbusch, Jaeden Francis, Lilly Frohman, Nicholas Owens, Jackson Porter, Adeline Rogers, Emily Willie and Kaitlin Wirth.
