LP-A volleyball off to sluggish start
The Lake Park-Audubon volleyball team is in the midst of a sluggish start to the season after starting 0-2, with losses against Hawley and Bertha-Hewitt.
The Raiders dropped all three of their games against Bertha-Hewitt Tuesday, losing 25-13, 25-8 and 25-14.
LP-A was led by junior Becca Schermer's four kills, sophomore Cheyanne Nelson's 10 digs and Schermer's two solo and three assisted blocks.
Despite the slow start, LP-A head coach Mike Summers said it's no time to panic for the Raiders.
"The girls are just struggling putting everything together and they are committing way too many unforced errors," Summers said. "But it will come, they just need to win that first match and get that confidence back. This is a tremendous team and we just need to see it transfer over to matches now."
The Raiders will have a chance to rebound against Rothsay (0-2) at home Thursday and in the Pelican Rapids Tournament Saturday.
