Lundmark joins PMHH
Perham Memorial Hospital and Home (PMHH) is excited to introduce Katie Lundmark as its new Senior Director of Long-Term Care. Lundmark started her position at PMHH on April 25, 2011, and will be a member of PMHH's leadership team.
For the next nine months, Lundmark will be responsible for coordinating the hospital and clinic moves to the new building. She will work with each department to create a plan that will maintain patient care, safety, and convenience throughout the move. During this same time, Lundmark will also lead a team to develop a use for the existing hospital building.
Once the new hospital opens Jan. 2012, Lundmark will assume the role of Senior Director Long-Term Care. In this position, she will serve as the nursing home administrator. Presently, Chuck Hofius, PMHH Chief Executive Officer, is licensed as the facility's administrator. When the hospital and nursing home are on separate campuses, Lundmark will serve as the licensed administrator. In addition, she will oversee Briarwood and St. James Manor, both older adult housing facilities.
Lundmark is a graduate of Concordia College Moorhead in the Healthcare Administration Program and spent the summer of 1999 as an administrative intern at PMHH. She brings with her 10 years of varied experience since graduating from college. Her career began with Healthland Solutions, a hospital billing and electronic patient record software company. Lundmark then worked as business manager for Lakes Crisis Center in Detroit Lakes, Minn. For the past six years, she has been employed by Ecumen, one of the leading providers of older adult services in Minnesota, as an assisted living manager and most recently as nursing home administrator at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, Minn., and Pelican Valley Care Center in Pelican Rapids, Minn.
"I am overjoyed to be a part of the community at Perham Memorial Hospital and Home," commented Lundmark. "The reputation Perham has for the household model of care in its nursing home reaches not only regionally, statewide or national, but internationally as well. The opportunity to be a part of PMHH with such outstanding quality is an honor."
