M State to host campus graduations
Commencement ceremonies will mark the graduation of nearly 1,450 students from the four campuses of Minnesota State Community and Technical College on May 9 and 10.
Spring campus graduation events are open to the public and are scheduled for:
- Detroit Lakes: 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at Detroit Lakes High School. The student speaker is Vanessa Lamblez, who is graduating with an AAS degree in IT Systems Support, and the keynote speaker is alumnus Corey Streich. Graduates and their families and friends are invited to a reception following the ceremony.
- Fergus Falls: 3 p.m. Thursday, May 9, in the campus gymnasium, with a reception following the ceremony in Legacy Hall. The student speaker is AnnaLisa Brown, who is graduating with an Associate of Arts degree, and the keynote speaker is alumnus David Ellis.
- Moorhead: 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the Fargo Civic Auditorium. The student speakers are James Kawlewski, who is graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Biological Sciences, and Nancy Ulmer, who is graduating with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.
- Wadena: 7 p.m. Friday, May 10, in the Wadena-Deer Creek High School Gymnasium. The student speaker is Rachel Munoz, who is graduating with an Associate of Arts degree and a diploma in Cosmetology, and the keynote speaker is alumnus Travid Floyd. A reception for graduates and their families will follow the ceremony at the high school.
As a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, M State serves more than 9,200 students in credit courses each year in more than 120 career and liberal arts programs at its four campuses in Detroit Lakes, Fergus Falls, Moorhead and Wadena, and through eCampus.
By partnering with communities, the college also provides custom training services and other responsive training programs.
