Pam Cummings, Carol Bischof and Lynn Kaiser received Excellence Awards from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development and will be recognized formally at the NISOD International Conference on Teaching and Learning in Austin, Texas, in late May.

Cummings is an instructor in the Paralegal degree program on the Detroit Lakes campus, where she has supported college initiatives through her extensive involvement on committees, initiatives and events including Curriculum Day and Assessment Day.

She actively reaches out to prospective students, has pursued articulation agreements with Minnesota State University Moorhead and often seeks to integrate non-traditional curriculum into her courses.

Cummings has a strong interest in personal development and has been a leader in the Leadership from the Heart program, and her community activities include service on the board of directors of the Detroit Lakes Boys & Girls Club.

Bischof is a biology instructor on the Fergus Falls campus, receives high marks from students and colleagues for her teaching methods and her commitment to students and learning.

Kaiser, chair of the business division on the Moorhead campus, is widely recognized for her innovations in business instruction and curriculum development, including piloting digital courseware, expanding software use, developing advanced courses in strategic management and sales, and working with the teams that championed collaborative partnerships with Minnesota State University Moorhead and the University of Mary.
