Man, 2 juveniles arrested in Moorhead drive-by shooting
MOORHEAD - A Fargo man and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a May 2008 drive-by shooting in Moorhead.
Trever Lee Perish, 19, 929 Page Drive, Fargo, is charged in Clay County District Court with aiding and abetting drive-by shooting.
Perish, accused in court papers of providing the car and the gun used in the shooting, is being held in the Clay County Jail.
Randy Raul Castillo, 17, 9 King St., Moorhead, was arrested over the weekend in Big Wells, Texas, and is charged in juvenile court with felony drive-by shooting, according to Moorhead police.
Even though he is a juvenile, information about Castillo is available because under state law court records for juveniles are open if the defendant was 16 at the time of the alleged incident and is charged with a felony.
A 16-year-old from Dilworth who was 15 at the time of the shooting has also been arrested and faces a charge in juvenile court of aiding and abetting drive-by shooting, Moorhead police said.
The charges stem from an incident May 11 at 401 Sunset Circle.
Officers found at least five bullet holes in the residence and six .22-caliber shell casings were found near the home.
Members of the family that was targeted told police they had had an altercation earlier with members of another family.
According to court documents, Perish told police he provided the car and the gun used in the shooting.
He said he and four others were at his house when it was decided they would do a drive-by shooting.
Perish told police Castillo was picked to do the shooting by playing the game "rock, paper, scissors."
