Man accused in Becker County harassment case released
A Fargo man appeared last week in Becker County District Court on a felony charge of violating a harassment order.
Christopher Cory Wiedeman, 32, of 1310 4th Ave. N., is accused of sending multiple letters to a woman with whom he was forbidden to have any contact whatsoever, as the result of a harassment order issued by the court on Oct. 29, 2012, which was to remain in effect until October of this year.
The alleged incident was reported in December. Wiedeman has multiple convictions for the same offense on his criminal record, all of them occurring in 2006.
He has been released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance, at a March 24 omnibus hearing in front of District Court Judge Jay Carlson.
