Man arrested following knife confrontation in Moorhead
MOORHEAD - A Fargo man was arrested early Friday morning after Moorhead police received a report of a man entering a residence and confronting a resident with a knife.
Moorhead police responded to 1005 36th St. S. at 10:13 p.m. Thursday night after Red River Regional Dispatch received a report that a male had entered that address with a knife. A former boyfriend of a resident was in the home and had broken down a locked interior door, according to a news release.
No one was physically injured in the incident and the man fled before police arrived, the release said.
Fargo police arrested Brandon Hobbs, 23, at 307 7th Ave. N. in Fargo about 1 a.m. today. Hobbs, 303 Roberts St., is being held in the Cass County Jail pending extradition to Minnesota and the filing of formal charges in Clay County District Court, the release said.
Police are asking Hobbs to be charged with felony assault, the release said.
