Man assaulted, possibly with a hammer, at Fargo hotel
FARGO - Police are investigating the assault this morning of a 37-year-old Fargo man by as many as five men, one of whom used a blunt object - possibly a hammer - according to a witness, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
The assault was reported at about 6:20 a.m. in a room at the Grand Inn hotel, 3402 14th Ave. S.
The witness told police he left the room, and when he came back the men were assaulting the victim, Lykken said.
Police searched the area for the suspects but didn't find them.
The victim sustained bruises to his head and was taken by ambulance to Essentia Health, Lykken said. His injuries weren't believed to be life-threatening.
