Man dead, another arrested in northern Minnesota homicide case
BABBITT, Minn. - A 55-year-old man is dead and another man arrested in what Babbitt Police and the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office are investigating as a homicide.
Babbitt Police Department and Babbitt Ambulance were dispatched to reports of a wounded male found lying on a street in Babbitt at 11:12 a.m. Monday
The victim, Paul John Bulen, 55, was taken to Ely Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A 24-year-old man from Mahtomedi has been arrested and is being held in the St. Louis County Jail in Virginia pending formal charges. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed by the St. Louis County Medical Examiner’s Office in Hibbing on Tuesday. Police are withholding further information pending the results of the autopsy.
The incident is still under investigation.
