Man gets jail for burglary
A Becker County man was sentenced last week in Becker County District Court for stealing numerous items, including a snowmobile, from the White Earth Police Department.
According to court reports, Kenneth Ray Rogers was convicted of third-degree burglary in the December 20 incident that resulted in a sentence of 18 months in prison, which was stayed for five years.
Rogers will serve 150 days in jail with credit for time served.
According to reports, police noticed the 2011 Arctic Cat Bear Cat snowmobile and other items were stolen from the White Earth Fleet Garage building, and followed the snowmobile tracks to a residence that Rogers was living at.
In addition to jail time, Rogers was also ordered to pay $2,400 in restitution and over $500 in fines.
