Harley Louis Warren, 20, of 1308 County Road 124, Ponsford, was ordered to serve 36 months (three years) in prison and pay $135 in court fines and fees. A second charge of receiving stolen property was dismissed at sentencing.

Warren was accused of breaking into a Becker County residence on Aug. 10, 2012 and taking some firearms, among other items. The owner also said his pickup had been stolen.

A vehicle matching the description of the stolen pickup was found traveling on County Highway 34, near the County Road 21 intersection in Becker County. Warren was a passenger in the vehicle.

A subsequent search of the pickup yielded a Wolf muzzleloader and a Model 88, .308-caliber lever action rifle that matched the description of some of the stolen firearms. Warren allegedly said that he had purchased the guns from two people he didn’t know at around 4 a.m. on Aug. 13, for $150 each.

Because he was convicted of felony motor vehicle theft on April 12, 2012, Warren was prohibited from possessing firearms.
