Man sentenced for harboring runaway teenager
A former Lake Park resident has been convicted and sentenced Becker County District Court on a felony charge of depriving another of their custodial or parental rights.
Shane Anthony Spicer, 39, of 12720 120th St., Wadena, was given a stay of imposition on a possible prison sentence, with conditions including up four years of supervised probation, four days in jail and payment of $1,085 in court fines and fees. If he successfully completes probation, the felony charge will be reduced to a misdemeanor on his record.
Spicer was accused of providing shelter to a minor girl, then 16 years old, at his Lake Park home numerous times between January and March of 2012 — while knowing that the girl had been reported as a runaway in St. Louis County.
