Man smashes woman's windshield in Fargo road rage incident
FARGO - A woman involved in a road rage incident Wednesday told Fargo police that a man smashed her windshield with his hand after she gave him the finger.
The woman said the suspect vehicle, a Chevy S-10 pickup with South Dakota plates, was driving at a high rate of speed when she turned in front of it and almost got hit, Sgt. Mark Lykken said.
After she flipped off the suspect, he pulled up by her, got out of the pickup, smashed her windshield with his hand, got back into the pickup and left, she told police.
Police have information on the suspect's vehicle, Lykken said.
He said that although road rage is rare in Fargo, police would like to remind drivers that if they respond with emotional gestures, they could escalate the situation and place themselves in a bad situation.
The incident was reported at 5:20 p.m. at 17th Avenue South and 38th Street.
