Man who recorded girl changing clothes gets prison time
HIBBING, Minn. – A Chisholm man who admitted recording an underage girl changing clothes and posting images and video on a pornographic website will serve at least eight months in prison.
Derrick Allen Mart, 24, also will be on probation for seven years, and any violations of his release could result in him being sent to prison for a full term of 2½ years.
Mart pleaded guilty Oct. 31 in State District Court in Hibbing to charges of interference with privacy against a minor under 18, use of a minor in a sexual performance, and two counts of possession of pornographic work involving minors.
Judge David Ackerson ordered that Mart complete a sex offender program, not possess any pornographic material and refrain from using the Internet without approval from probation officers. Mart is also ordered not to have any contact with the victim or anyone under 18.
According to the criminal complaint, investigators found two videos shot with hidden cameras on a computer hard drive belonging to Mart. The first, made when the victim was about 15, shows her coming out of a shower, drying off and getting dressed. The second video, made when she was 17, shows her changing out of a swimming suit and into clothes.
