Margaret R. Hager, 86, of Waseca, Minn., died on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Lake Shore Inn of Waseca.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 19 at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and for one hour prior to Tuesday's services at church. A parish prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

A mass of Christian burial will take place at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 20 in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waseca, with Father Marty Schaefer, celebrant. Interment will be in Waseca's Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the Sacred Heart Educational Endowment Fund.

Margaret Rose was born to William and Katherine (Biedscheid) Bohnert on September 30, 1925 in Mankato, Minn. She attended St. Peter and Paul grade school and graduated from Loyal High School in Mankato. She moved to Waseca in 1951, and on October 16, 1954 married Harvey Schroeder. He passed away in July of 1960. There were no children from their marriage.

Margaret then met Francis Hager in 1963, and they were united in marriage on February 8, 1964 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

Margaret enjoyed dancing, traveling, and watching her grandchildren grow up.

Surviving Margaret are her husband Francis and her children, Gary (Mary) Hager of Detroit Lakes and Jane (Mike) Shorter of Lonsdale; by her four grandchildren, Joe Hager of Detroit Lakes, and Emily, Amanda and Allison Shorter of Lonsdale; by her sister, Mary Baynes; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bohnert, Dorothy Bohnert and Betty Miller; and by many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters and six brothers; and her first husband, Harvey Schroeder.
