Margaret A. Lepard, 66, Detroit Lakes, died Friday, November 30, 2012 at her son's home, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
A private family service will be held.
Margaret Ann Lepard was born to David and Martha (Beaumar) Henderson on November 15, 1946 in Mine Hill, N.J. She was raised and educated in Mine Hill. Margaret was united in marriage to Harry J. Sperry in New Jersey. They later divorced. She moved to Fargo in 1973 and to Detroit Lakes in 1974. She was united in marriage to Francis Lepard November 27, 1976 in Detroit Lakes.
During her working life, she worked for Swift and Company, in Frazee and in Detroit Lakes. After the closing of the Swift plants, she worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Detroit Lakes until retiring in 2005.
Margaret enjoyed time with her family, bingo, cooking, socializing, going to rummage sales, shopping, playing scratch-off games, and exercising at the community center. For five months this past year, she was a resident at Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes.
Survivors include her husband Francis, of Detroit Lakes; two sons, Harry (Nancy) Sperry and David Sperry, and two daughters, Nancy Thomas and Linda (Carl) Schreiber, all of Detroit Lakes; seven grandchildren, Troy, Ricky, Steven, Anthony, Brooks, Cerelda and Aaron; six great grandchildren, Kayla, Zachary, Hunter, Lakisha and Noah; a sister, Sandra Henderson in New Jersey; and two brothers, Eddie Henderson, New Jersey, and Jack (Rose) Henderson, Tennessee.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Brenda, and her parents.
