Singer/songwriter and keynote speaker Barbara McAfee shares her musical message "Spirit in the Workplace" from 4 to 5 p.m. in the conference center (Room C101) at Minnesota State Community & Technical College in Detroit Lakes. Quilting class

Detroit Lakes Library offers a unique quilting class from 1 to 3:30 p.m. During the session, participants will learn to locate reputable quilting resources on the Internet as well as how to print and save quilting patterns. Some experience with a computer and the Internet are required to get the most out of this class. Class size is limited, please call the Library at 847-2168 to reserve your space.

'Noises Off'

Students at Minnesota State Community & Technical College (M-State) in Fergus Falls will present their debut performance of the British comedy "Noises Off" at 7:30 p.m. in the Waage Fine Arts Theatre, 1414 College Way, Fergus Falls. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door for adults; $6 in advance and $7 at the door for youth ages 18 and under; children 5 and under are free. All seats reserved. 'Terminal: The Play'

The full length suspense drama "Terminal," based on the best-selling novel of the same name, will make its world premiere at the Paul Bunyan Playhouse in Bemidji at 7:30 p.m. Playwrights Brian Keene and Roy C. Booth will also be on hand throughout the premiere weekend to answer questions, sign books and interact with attendees. Tickets are $10, and will be available at the box office at least a half hour prior to the performance; pre-sales are also being offered at Roy's Comics & Games, 507 Beltrami Ave., Bemidji. Community theater returns to the lakes area as Summit Productions presents the enduring whodunit, "The Mousetrap," as the debut production of the community theater group, The Summit Avenue Players, at 7:30 p.m. The Holmes Ballroom will be transformed into a gothic dinner theater for the event. A cash bar and hors d'oeuvres/dessert menu will be available. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for students.
