"Today we remember the fallen men and women of the past, present and future," Mayor Matt Brenk said.

Vietnam veteran Harland Thompson spoke as a part of the program, saying that although he was a part of the Army, he had honor and respect for those who have served in the Navy and Air Force, women in the military, those who were drafted, those who have never been to a combat zone, those who gave their lives for this country and those who are wounded.

Several representatives from the American Legion Post 15 and Auxiliary, VFW Post 1676 and Auxiliary, Disabled American Veterans and other veteran organizations were present for the program. There was also a parade prior to the program in the park, and a lunch was served at the American Legion following the program.
