Men accused of assaulting bouncers at Fargo bar at closing time
FARGO - Two men were arrested and a third also could face charges after they allegedly assaulted two bouncers at a south Fargo bar at closing time early today.
Sgt. Jared Crane said staff at Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse stopped serving the overly intoxicated men and asked them to leave, but they hung around the bar for about another hour until closing time at 2 a.m.
Bouncers were able to escort the men out of the bar at 1201 Westrac Drive S. at closing time, but a fight broke out in front of the main entrance when one of the three men allegedly punched one of the bouncers in the face, Crane said. The three men "more or less ganged up on a couple of the bouncers" and assaulted them, he said.
Timothy Laucks, 31, and Michael Rowlett, 44, both of Fargo, were taken into custody on citizen's arrest on suspicion of simple assault and disorderly conduct, Crane said.
The third man was taken to Essentia Health after complaining of a possible medical condition. A long-form complaint will be filed with the Cass County State's Attorney's Office for possible charges against him, Crane said.
One of the bouncers was taken to Sanford Health, where he was treated and released. The other bouncer did not require medical attention, Crane said.
