Metalworks owners win awards
Dan Johnson and Jon Mickelson have won two awards for participation in the Dale Carnegie Course they completed in Detroit Lakes. Recipients for the awards are voted on by class members upon completion of the course series.
Johnson won the highest award for achievement. The criteria for Johnson's award is to exemplify the principles of Dale Carnegie training throughout the course, demonstrate significant personal and professional development, careful preparation and showing leadership in the class. Johnson is the co-owner of Metalworks located in Detroit Lakes, where he currently lives with his wife Michelle and two daughters, AddieKay and Elizabeth.
Mickelson won the Human Relations Champion Award, which is given to the individual that best exemplifies the standards, qualities and principles on which this training is based. Mickelson is part owner and production manager of Metalworks located in Detroit Lakes. Mickelson and his wife of 20 years, Marvel, live in Detroit Lakes with their two sons Joshua and Jonas. For the past 30 years he has worked in the auto repair industry, three years ago he moved into the fabrication business. Living in Detroit Lakes since 1969 Mickelson and his family enjoy camping, boating, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing and tractor pulling in their spare time as well as enjoying the company of their Church family as well.
