Minn. pedestrian killed after being hit by car

HERMANTOWN, Minn. - A 28-year-old Hermantown man died Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle.

Hermantown police said the accident was reported just before 7:45 p.m. Sunday. The victim, identified Monday as Jeremy Jacob Reeves, was transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, where we was pronounced dead just after 9 p.m.

The 56-year-old woman driving the vehicle, and a 22-year-old woman who was a passenger, were not injured.

Hermantown police said alcohol, weather and road conditions did not appear to be factors in the crash. More information is expected to be released in the coming days.
