Minnesota authorities look for burglary suspect

Minnesota prison officials are looking for a Thief River Falls man suspected in the Dec. 18 burglary of the American Legion in Plummer, Minn., according to Red Lake County Sheriff Mitch Bernstein.

Brian Torkelson, 23, is one of three in on the burglary and he also violated his parole on previous convictions, but remains on the lam, Bernstein said in a news release Thursday.

Jordan Spina, 23, of Plummer is in the regional jail in Crookston awaiting his next court appearance on felony charges in the American Legion burglary and his own probation violations. He appeared initially on the burglary charge last month in state district court in Red Lake Falls.

Bernstein said Danielle Rasmussen, 23, of Thief River Falls, hasn’t been charged in the burglary but was “involved” and also violated her probation.

Anyone with information should call Bernstein’s office at (218) 253-2996.
