Missing 18-year-old autistic woman from Beaulieu returned safely to foster parents
MAHNOMEN - A 18-year-old autistic Mahnomen County woman who showed up at a rural residence in the Beaulieu area returned safely to her foster parents Friday night.
The sheriff's office received a call around 8:15 p.m. Friday from a household reporting that the woman had walked up to their house appearing confused.
A sheriff's deputy arrived a short time later. The woman appeared to be a special needs child, according to a sheriff's office news release.
The woman was transporter to the sheriff's office in Mahnomen where a teleytpe, news release and photo were sent out to counties throughout Northwest Minnesota.
A short time after sending out the news release, the sheriff's office received a number of calls on the missing woman, including from her foster parents.
