Missing Mahnomen man found downstream
Wednesday, at about 6:45 p.m., the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office received a request from the White Earth Tribal Police Department to assist them in locating a missing person.
Kevin Bruce Jackson had last been seen at about 2 that morning in Mahnomen. Jackson had not returned to his residence, and his wallet and shoes had been found near the riverbank of the Wild Rice River within the city limits.
Mahnomen County Sheriff's deputies, White Earth Tribal Police and conservation officers responded to the area.
At about 8:21 p.m., the Mahnomen Sheriff's Office received a report of a bloody male on a property located downstream and within the search area. Mahnomen County Sheriff's deputies responded to the caller's location and identified the male party as Jackson.
He was transported by ambulance to the Mahnomen County Health Center.
Also assisting in the rescue were the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Valley Water Rescue, Minnesota State Patrol and the DNR.
