Monroe Crossing coming to Ulen’s Top Hat Theatre
Enjoy one of the best bluegrass bands in the country when Monroe Crossing comes to Ulen’s Top Hat Theatre on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m.
Named in honor of Bill Monroe, “The Father of Bluegrass Music,” Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals.
The band includes banjo player David Robinson; Derek Johnson on guitar and vocals; multi-talented Lisa Fuglie on fiddle, mandolin, guitar and vocals; Mark Anderson on bass and vocals; and Matt Thompson on mandolin, fiddle and vocals. For more information, visit www.monroecrossing.com.
Their airtight harmonies, razor-sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada. Based in Minnesota, the group plays an average of 125 shows a year at major venues and festivals, frequently for non-bluegrass audiences — and people often comment that they’d never really liked bluegrass music until they attended a Monroe Crossing concert!
Tickets are available at the Ulen-Hitterdal School office, at a cost of $15 for adults or $10 for students. You can also reserve tickets by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone at 218-596-8853.
Top Hat Theatre is located inside the Ulen-Hitterdal School in Ulen. The doors will open to the public at 6:30 p.m.
After the concert, the Ulen Museum will be hosting a dessert reception in the School Commons.
Please come and enjoy dessert with family and friends and support the Museum. Free-will donations are appreciated.
