Monroe Crossing plays in NYM March 22

One of Minnesota’s very best bluegrass bands, Monroe Crossing will give a concert at the James Mann Center for the Performing Arts in New York Mills on Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.

The venue is located inside the New York Mills School; doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $12 by advance reservation (call 218-385-3339), or $15 day of show. Student admission for this concert is free.

Before the concert, the band will give a workshop on bluegrass music for students at the school.

Monroe Crossing dazzles audiences with an electrifying blend of classic bluegrass, bluegrass gospel, and heartfelt originals.

Their airtight harmonies, razor sharp arrangements, and on-stage rapport make them audience favorites across the United States and Canada.

The band plays more than 125 concerts each year through out the United States and Canada, and includes Derek Johnson, guitar, lead and harmony vocals; Lisa fuglie, fidddle, mandolin, lead and harmony vocals, Matt Thompson, mandolin fiddle, baritone vocals; Mark Anderson, bass and bass vocals; and David Robinson, banjo.
