Moorhead police nab alleged burglar
MOORHEAD - Police say a man came home Monday night to find a burglar in his house and called police, who later tracked down the suspect.
The resident arrived home about 10:15 p.m. at 1808 41st Ave. S. and found an unknown man in his house. He exited the house and called police, Sgt. Toby Krone said in a news release.
Moorhead police quickly responded and determined the suspect had left. An officer found a man matching the physical description of the suspect walking close to the area. The officer approached the man, and he fled on foot to another nearby residence at 1802 41st Ave. S., where he was arrested.
Andrei Russell, 24, of Moorhead, was arrested on suspicion of felony second-degree burglary and is being held in the Clay County Jail.
Russell also had an outstanding warrant for a second-degree burglary probation violation in Kandiyohi County, the news release stated.
