Moorhead schools to cut more than 60 positions at meeting tonight
MOORHEAD - Moorhead school officials plan to cut the full-time equivalent of roughly 37 licensed and 27 non-licensed positions at the district's school board meeting tonight.
At this point, the meeting is still scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Probstfield Center.
The school district, which announced it would cut more than 60 positions last month, is asking for board approval for a detailed list of jobs to be eliminated.
The district will lose the full-time equivalent of roughly two math, four special education, two science, six elementary education and almost four music positions. The high school will be the hardest hit, with a total of 14 positions eliminated.
School officials also will present their most recent class size projections at the meeting tonight.
