Morrison takes over as MOA president
Dr. Larry Morrison has been elected President of the Minnesota Optometric Association (MOA).
The election was held at the association’s Annual Meeting in St. Paul recently.
Dr. Morrison practices with his son, Dr. Michael A. Morrison, and Dr. Becky Vandeberg at Morrison Eye Care in Detroit Lakes and Mahnomen.
Dr. Morrison has most recently served as President-Elect of the MOA. He is a past President of the Northwest Optometric Association, and past President of the Minnesota Board of Optometry.
Dr. Morrison has a strong interest in legislative advocacy for optometry and patients in a changing healthcare landscape.
He is also a board member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH), Minnesota Chapter.
His most recent VOSH trip was to Jamaica, and his VOSH mission trip experience covers many countries, including Guyana, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Jamaica, the Philippines, Tanzania, and Ukraine.
Dr. Morrison received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Minnesota State University- Moorhead, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry.
He is a resident of Detroit Lakes.
