Mother and daughter injured Sunday in two-vehicle accident west of Willmar
WILLMAR - A mother and daughter from Appleton were injured Sunday in a two-vehicle accident west of Willmar.
Three teens from Kerkhoven, who were in the second vehicle, were not injured.
According to the State Patrol Adam Miller, 18, of Kerkhoven was going north on Chippewa County Road 2 around 5 p.m. Sunday.
His 1995 Ford Taurus struck a 2005 Mercury Montego that was going west on Trunk Highway 40.
That vehicle, driven by Kacey Struxness, 16, of Appleton, went into the ditch, rolled, and came to a stop on its side. She was treated and released for minor injuries.
Her mother, Melissa Struxness, 37, was taken to Rice Memorial Hospital and is being treated for minor injuries.
Miller was not injured.
Two passengers in his vehicle, Leah Miller, 15, and Alison Miller, 13, were also not injured.
