Motorcyclist injured after striking deer on Highway 34 in Becker County
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. - A Duluth man has suffered personal injuries in a motorcycle accident near here after he was struck by a deer, the Minnesota State Patrol said in a release.
Mark Grewatz, 62, suffered non-life threatening injuries after his 2006 Harley Davidson was hit by a deer running out of a ditch along Highway 34 in Becker County on Friday evening around 2 p.m., the patrol said.
The deer struck Grewatz's motorcycle, causing him to lose control and lay the bike down in the eastbound lane, the patrol said.
The incident is still under investigation by the patrol.
