Interested in a nursing or healthcare career?
A new pre-nursing course is being offered at Minnesota State Community & Technical College in Fergus Falls and Detroit Lakes beginning in February. This course will help you prepare for college nursing or healthcare courses.
The pre-nursing course is designed to expand nursing skills and provide some practical skills helpful for those looking to launch into a nursing program, such as time management and study techniques.
Some of the topics of study will include medical terminology, professional expectations, basic nursing skills and nursing career options.
Classes run from Feb. 12 through May 21 at the MSCTC Detroit Lakes campus and the Lincoln Education Center.
This 100-hour class is free to students meeting certain criteria. Students that do not have their GED, all fees continue to be free of charge.
