MSUM 'Celebration of Nations' is Saturday
On Saturday, March 31, Minnesota State University Moorhead will host one of its largest events of the year in the Comstock Memorial Union, starting at 4 p.m.
The Celebration of Nations is an event for international students to display art, clothing and information about their countries. The students also cook traditional foods for sampling, provide entertainment of traditional music and dances, and end the celebration with a fashion show.
This year's event's include:
Children's World, 4 to 6 p.m., CMU 101
Ellen Hopkins' K-5 students display wall mural
Kite flying and display (weather permitting) 5:30 p.m.
Silent auction, 6 to 8 p.m.
Main show begins at 6 p.m.
Food and country/culture booths
Fashion show, 9 p.m.
Nearly 800 guests attend Celebration of Nations every year. Tickets are now available on MSUM's campus in the Comstock Memorial Union 229, or the International Student Services Office, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. until Friday, March 30.
