MSUM to offer improved, new summer semester
Minnesota State University Moorhead is offering a new and improved summer semester that provides greater flexibility, course options and cost savings for current and returning students, students in the area who are home for the summer but who attend other universities, and others interested in taking summer school classes.
The summer semester has been significantly revised to offer classes in a variety of packages, with most classes lasting for three, four or five weeks, and some classes lasting six to eight weeks. The semester is also starting earlier, May 18 and running through July 24.
The university is offering more Dragon Core classes this summer to help students complete their general education requirements, and liberal studies courses will be offered for the last time.
A flat fee of $29.61 per credit has been implemented that will reduce fees for most students, and work-study is available for many students taking six or more credits.
Summer registration begins March 9 on the website www.mnstate.edu/summer. For more information, contact the summer school office at 218-477-2344 or Dr. Richard Adler, director of summer semester, at 218-477-2474 or 2901.
