Museum offers Kids Day each Thursday
The Becker County Museum is hosting Kids Days in August. Stop in each Thursday during the month of August for great activities for kids.
The museum will be featuring a variety of topics relevant to the pioneer history of this area.
Parents, grandparents and daycare providers are encouraged to stop in anytime 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursdays to explore the Becker County Museum together with your kids.
On Aug. 7, come hear the "Tale of Old 3 Legs." Aug. 14 will feature activities centered around "Wild Rice, Wigwams and Wannagans." Aug. 21 will bring "Crafts with a History" alive.
The month will be ended Aug. 28 with "Log Cabin Days." Each week, visitors will get a guided tour of the entire museum and opportunities for some hands-on activities including games, crafts, storytelling and demonstrations.
The Museum is located at 714 Summit Ave., next to the DL Community & Cultural Center. Admission is always free. Large groups are encouraged to call ahead.
The Becker County Museum & Research Library are open this summer Tuesday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
