ND Cowboy Hall of Fame plans film premiere

The North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame is set to premiere “Another Cowboy Moment,” the first film is what will be a continuing video project.

The semi-formal affair is from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Hall of Fame in Medora. The film features interviews with seven North Dakota cowboys.

“We are currently interviewing and collecting a lot of footage of many of our rodeo and ranching legends for the purpose of preserving their history for all time,” Hall of Fame Executive Director Kevin Holten said in a news release.

The video collection contains inspiring, honest and sometimes hilarious and sad footage that will make an impact on the state, region and beyond, he said.

Hors d’oeuvres, champagne and Pendleton whiskey will be served, and guests will view new exhibits, a traveling art show, a Western skit and dance.

Actor and artist Buck Taylor of Texas -- best known for his eight-year run as Newly on “Gunsmoke” -- will be among the guests attending the premiere.

Tickets are $50, and a limit of 500 will be sold. To purchase tickets, call (701) 623-2000 or visit
