Nevis businesses burglarized; sheriff's office seeking information on 'suspicious' male
NEVIS - The Hubbard County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspicious man who was seen running in front of a Nevis business early Monday morning.
Following the report of the suspicious man, law enforcement learned that several Nevis businesses -Iron Horse Bar & Grill, Bullwinkle's, Musky Waters Company Bike Rental, Steve & Jill's Steak & Pizza, Meyer's Meat Market, and Northwind Grocery - had been burglarized.
According to a press release from the Hubbard County Sheriff's Office: A report was made at 4:22 a.m. that a tall male, wearing a "hoody" sweatshirt was running down a Nevis street and a suspicious vehicle was parked or idling in front a business.
Deputies were unable to locate the man. Considerable damage was done to the businesses and an undisclosed amount of cash and liquor were taken. The incidents remain under investigation.
