New president named at Lund Boat Co.
Dirk Hyde will succeed Andrew Klopak as president of Lund Boat Co.
Klopak recently left Brunswick "to pursue other career aspirations," according to a news release issued Friday by Dan Kubera, director of media relations for Brunswick in Lake Forest, IL.
Klopak, who was with Lund for over 20 years, had been president since April, 2006 when Larry Lovold retired. Klopak spent 17 years with Lund Canada in various sales and marketing roles, including VP of Sales & Marketing for four years.
Lund Boats was started by Howard Lund in New York Mills in 1948 and grew to 500 employees.
Brunswick purchased Lund Boats in 2004 from Genmar Industries.
Hyde currently serves as president of Brunswick's pontoon boat category and will now have added responsibility for the operations of Lund Boat Co., the release said.
Hyde spent two years as president of Crestliner Boats and was chief operating officer for Attwood Corp., a Brunswick subsidiary.
