The No. 2 seeded Thief River Falls boys' hockey team ended No. 7 Detroit Lakes' season with a convincing 8-1 victory Thursday inside TRF's Ralph Engelstad Arena.


The Prowlers (17-9) controlled the puck through the first two periods, where they were able to build a commanding 8-1 advantage.

TRF outshot the Lakers by a 68-10 margin, with sophomore goalie MacKenzie Steele doing all he could with 60 saves on the night.
