No. 9-ranked Pelican Rapids loses leading scorer to ACL tear
Pelican Rapids girls basketball team was 18-2 and ranked No. 9 in Minnesota Class 2A heading into Saturday’s game with Park Rapids.
The Vikings not only lost Saturday’s game, but lost leading scorer Mackenzie Korf for the season to a torn ACL. Korf, a sophomore, was averaging nearly 25 points a game and recorded the 1,000th point of her career against Little Falls on Feb. 8. Korf broke the school record with 41 points in the season opener against Frazee.
