No bomb found after threat at Grand Forks County Office Building

GRAND FORKS - Authorities here found no bomb after a bomb threat was made to the Grand Forks County Office building this afternoon.
Sheriff's deputy Kelly McLean said there was a bomb threat on the second floor of the six-story building, 151 S. Fourth St. downtown.
The threat, which came came in about 2:10 p.m., said a bomb would go off in 30 minutes.
The building has been evacuated while law enforcment investigated. No surrounding buildings were evacuated, and the county courthouse across the street remained open.
"The building was swept and nothing was found," said Sgt. B.J. Maxson of the Sheriff's Department.
He said the call was received in the county social services department.
"It was not directed at any specific agency or person," he said.
County and state employees were evacuated and waited outside while the building was searched.
County employees later were sent home. However, state employees returned to work after the building was cleared, according to Maxson.
