Nominations open for Everyday Heroes
What is a hero? Hero: A person admired for his/her achievements and noble qualities; one that shows great courage.
Most people know a hero by this definition: Maybe it’s your neighbor or co-worker who went above and beyond the call of duty in a time of need, a young person who volunteers his/her time helping others, or someone who saved a life.
The United Way of Becker County wants to hear your story of a hero’s courage and the difference they have made in your life.
Everyday Heroes are people whose deeds — large and small — make Becker County a better place to live.
They may be volunteers or be outstanding in their careers. They may be young or old. They might live next door, down the street, or in the next town.
You might see them every day, once a month or once a year.
They’re anyone in the community who gives more than the average person.
Tell us about your hero. Nominations should be as specific as possible.
Print and fill out the nomination form at www.uwbc.net/hero/applications and return it to the United Way by April 1.
Mail nominations to: United Way of Becker County, PO Box 348, Detroit Lakes MN 56501 or submit them via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
