North Dakota couple face marijuana charges after Cass County bust
LEONARD, N.D. - A husband and wife from Leonard were arrested after authorities discovered a large marijuana-growing operation at their home.
Cass County Sheriff's Capt. Rick Majerus says investigators executed a search warrant at the home of Robert and Kristine Sweeney last Tuesday.
He says investigators found approximately 100 marijuana plants - some up to 4 feet tall - in the basement of the home.
The Sweeneys face charges of manufacturing marijuana and possessing marijuana with intent to deliver. Both charges are felonies.
They were booked in the Cass County Jail but have since posted bail.
