North Dakota House approves sales tax exemption for clothes
BISMARCK-The North Dakota House of Representatives has approved a sales tax exemption for clothes. The vote was 66-26.
Representatives from Bismarck and Fargo spoke against the bill, saying it will hurt the collection of city sales taxes and that will lead to higher property taxes to make up for it.
The bill now goes to the Senate
