Norwegian reality show to hold open casting call

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Casting directors for a hit Norwegian reality series hope to find Minnesotans who are up for a challenge and want an opportunity to appear on TV.

Chicago-based O’Connor Casting Company is now accepting applicants for the fifth season of “Alt for Norge” (“The Great Norwegian Adventure”), Norway’s No. 1 reality show that pits 12 Norwegian-Americans against each other for the chance to win $50,000 and a meeting with relatives they didn’t know they had.

The company recently issued a similar casting call for North Dakotans. Now, they’re aiming to find contestants from Minnesota.

O’Connor Casting Company will hold an open call Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Executive Center of the Mall of America, located on the mall’s four floor, in Bloomington.

Potential contestants can also apply online for a chance to get on the show.

Applicants must be at least 18 by Feb. 16, 2014, and be Americans with at least some Norwegian ancestry who have never been to Norway.
