NYM man injured when truck strikes slow semi
A New York Mills man was injured Monday morning when his vehicle struck a semi that had pulled out onto Highway 10 in Otter Tail County.
David P. Braukmann, 60, was transported to the Perham hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
He was eastbound on Highway 10 in a 2014 Chevy K15 pickup truck. His vehicle struck a 1995 Peterbilt Conventional semi that was pulling out from 505th Avenue to go west on Highway 10. The semi was struck from behind.
The driver of the semi, Jerry B. Dewar, 60, of Ottertail, suffered no apparent injury, according to the State Patrol.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The crash was reported at 9:14 a.m. at mile marker 74 on dry blacktop. The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
