Oak Hills choir at Harvest Fellowship in Frazee Saturday
The 20-voice choir of Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji will present a sacred concert, "Grow in Grace," at Harvest Fellowship Church in Frazee at 7:30 p.m. next Saturday, May 22.
The theme of the concert is based on 2 Peter 3:18, and is developed using choral anthems, hymn settings, psalm settings and other biblical texts. Composers whose work will be showcased include Anton Bruckner, Mark Hayes and Ron Caviana, as well as arrangers Don Hustad and Jane Marshall.
A setting of the hymn "Amazing Grace," written by Oak Hills choir director Kenneth J. Wold especially for the ensemble, will also be featured. Wold has been the director of music at Oak Hills Christian College for 42 years. Oak Hills staff member Brenda Hosteter serves as pianist for the choir. Other accompanists include Amanda Kastner, violin; Hostetter and Larry Klingsheim, trumpets; and Joe Hassler, tuba.
Harvest Fellowship Church is located at 806 Frazee Road in Frazee. The pastor and congregation cordially invite the public to attend this event.
