Officials investigate break-in at GFAFB

GRAND FORKS – A break-in and assault was reported to security forces at Grand Forks Air Force Base early Saturday morning, the base public affairs office said.

The victim was treated by doctors off-base while security forces tried to identify a suspect, who remained at large Sunday.

Besides base security, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Department are involved in the investigation.

Base public affairs said there may be delays for those trying to enter or exit the base.
